Participation Criteria: Examples



How to assess your participation (for a class that meets three days a week ).

Examples:

1. Lisa came to class every day of the week (three days).  She spoke entirely in Spanish and had all the necessary materials with her.  She was a very active participant in group activities as well as attentive and responsive during whole class activities.

2. Sam attended class three days. He forgot his text one day and had to share one with his classmate. He asked questions in English about material/instructions he didn't understand. He participated actively in groups, but only occasionally during whole class work.
