Writing assignment #2, due Mon, 9/21, by 10:00am...send me an email describing your group's new numeration system that you have devised for the planet Xmania as described on this handout, Intro to Xmania ...remember to include why you chose the system you did, how to write the numbers 1-100, 1000, 10000, etc, using your new number system, what difficulties you can across, how to add (if you got that far), as well as answering any of the questions at the bottom of the handout as you are able. Test #1 will be held on Wed, Oct 7th

Ft Wayne students -- You will take the test in the Math Test Center. You will need to report to the test center with your picture ID between 9:15-7:00 and tell them you are there to take a batch test for Mrs Alexander. (The test center closes at 8:00pm on Wednesdays and they will NOT let you in if you do not check in BEFORE 7:00!) Ft Wayne students will not have class on Wednesday to allow those with limited time on campus the opportunity to take the test during normal class time.

Warsaw students -- You will take the test at the Warsaw center during normal class time unless you make prior arrangements with me to be able to take it in Ft Wayne at the Math Test Center.

*****NO MAKEUPS WILL BE ALLOWED WITHOUT DOCUMENTATION*****

We will start talking about Chap 3 from the Handbook on Friday, so please read it first. If you are unfamiliar with sets, read the beginning of Chap 1 again, especially Sec 1.1-1.3.
