Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Success

Responsibilities:

Oversight of the Academic Success Center which consists of the Center for Academic Support and Advancement (CASA), the First Year Experience (FYE) Program, and the Mastodon Advising Center (MAC) at IPFW.

Teaching Experience at IPFW:

I have been teaching English composition at IPFW since Spring 1989. I primarily teach ESL (English as a Second Language) courses: W115, W116, W130 ESL, and W131 ESL, and Undergraduate TENL and Graduate TENL (Teaching English as a New Language) certificate courses. I also teach freshman composition courses, both online and traditional courses.

Education:

I received my B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Iowa in 1980. I went on to receive my M.A. in English in 1986 from the University of North Texas . I completed my Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition with a cognate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at Ball State University in 2004.
