Course
Description: I shall cover chapters 1-6. The main content of the course is
devoted to vector spaces, bases and dimension of vector spaces, linear
transformations and matrices, systems of linear equations, determinants,
eigenvalues and eigenvectors, diagonalization of matrices, inner product
spaces, Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization process.
Grading: There will be six homeworks, 10 % each, a
Midterm and a Final Exam 20% each. The grade for the
course is according to the scale:
A 90 -100; B 80-89; C 70-79; D 60-69; F below 59.
Homework:
Homework will be collected and graded at the end of a chapter.
