Course
description: MA 351 is an introductory course in Linear Algebra and its
Applications. I will cover Chapters 1-7 from the book. The topics are systems
of linear equations, matrices, determinants, vector spaces, and eigenvalues
and eigenvectors. Different applications will be discussed. As a tool we
shall use the Computer Algebra System Maple.
Grading: There will be 7 graded homework assignments
and 3 quizzes, three hourly tests, and a Final exam.
Quizzes + Graded Homework - 100
pts.
3 tests - 300 pts
Final - 150 pts
The grading scale is given below:
A 90 -100%;
B 80-89%;
C 70-79%;
D 60-69%
