description: MA 351 is an introductory course in Linear Algebra and its
Applications. I will cover Chapters 1-6 and parts of Chapter 8 from the book.
The topics are systems of linear equations, matrices, determinants, vector
spaces, and eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Different applications
will be discussed. As a tool we shall use the Computer Algebra System Maple.
There will be 7 graded homework assignments and 3 quizzes, three tests, and a
Quizzes + Graded Homework - 100
3 tests - 300 pts
Final - 150 pts
The grading scale is given below:
