Book:  Methods of Real Analysis by Richard R. Goldberg.

Course description: MA 541 is a continuation of MA 540. I will cover Chapters 7, 9, and 11, from the book as well as sections 6.8, 10.1, and 10.2. The topics are uniform continuity, Riemann integral, derivatives, sequences and series of functions, Weierstrass approximation theorem, and last but not least Lebesgue measure and Lebesgue integral.

Grading:  There will be a Midterm and a Final exams( 20% each), and regular homework(60%). Homework will be collected weekly. The garding scale is given below:

A 85 -100; B 75-84; C 60-74; D 50-59; F below 50.
