Research

I am interested in all aspects of literacy development. Most recently, I have been studying the cognitive development of preschool children and the effects of intervention on this development. I am also working on reading and spelling development and issues related to computer-mediated discourse. I am also examining the interactions between texting, Facebook, and literacy. I am currently conducting literacy research on campus with young children and adults.

**If you are interested in working as a research assistant (for course credit) for one of my ongoing projects, please email me at: drouinm@ipfw.edu . I am currently looking for research assistants for Fall 2012.**
