Media Production Minor

 

This minor is designed primarily for students with a Media and Public Communication major and includes course in video and television production, audio produciton,digital imaging, and film and media studies. To earn a minor in media production, you must complete at least 18 credits with a grade of C or better. You must also complete any prerequisites for the courses that are chosen and complete at least 9 credits as resident credit at IPFW.

This course is required:
COM 251 Introduction to Electronic Media

COM 431 Practicum in Radio (2 credits, may be repeated once)
COM 432 Practicum in Television (2 credits, may be repeated once)
COM 436 Script Writing
COM 490 Internship in Communication
COM 537 Educational/Instructional Television

*prerequisite: Com 332 or permission of instructor
#also counts toward the 300/400 level block of the Media and Public Communication major)
