About those images of Miguel de Cervantes... They're not. There is no authentic portrait of Cervantes. Supposed pictures of him abound, but they are merely artists' conceptions of what he might have looked like. The image which appears at top of each of these Works of Cervantes pages is taken from the picture on the right, found with other engravings in a 1833 edition of Don Quijote edited by Diego Clemencín.
