The American Studies certificate is available to all students at IPFW who are interested in developing a deeper understanding of the complex nature of America both inside its borders and in its relationship to the rest of the world.
During the 2006-2007 academic year, the certificate requirements are undergoing revision. The new certificate description can be found here, and new courses in American Studies (listed in Oasis with the label AMST) will be offered beginning in the 2007-2008 academic year. These classes offered in the spring of 2007 are approved for credit in the American Studies certificate.
