MA 153 Fall 2004 Grades

Your grade is determined by the following components:

Homework 10%
Test 1 20%
Test 2 20%
Test 3 20%
Final 25%

This table can be rewritten using points instead of percents:

According to the columns listed below, your grade will be computed as follows:
2(TSUB) +  FINAL  + (1/2)(% Here) + Frequent Tutor Bonus*  + (HW AVG), 
where TSUB = T1 + T2 + T3 and HW AVG is the average of the HW grades multiplied by 10.
A missed class may be made up by attending two 1 hour SI sessions or tutoring sessions. These "Bonus Sessions" must be documented. Submit 5 or more and you get the 10 point Frequent Tutor Bonus. You can submit these on or before Friday, December 10. Note:  The Frequent Tutor Bonus has not yet been included.

To get a current picture of your grade, you can look at the percentage of the points available thus far:
2(Test 1) + 2(Test 2) + HW AVG + (1/2)(%Here) = 2(100) + 2(100) + 100 + (1/2)(100) = 550 maximum possible.
This table will be recomputed Monday morning, Nov. 1, 2004.
