1. In this experiment, who is the allocator?  Who is the receiver? In a nutshell, how does this experiment work? (p. 1344)

2.Go through the eight hypotheses one at a time.  For each hypothesis: a)  What are the variables?  Given what the authors write, why would this hypothesis make the prediction that it does? (pp. 1345-1349)

3. What are the two research questions?  Why do the authors pose these research questions?  Why are they research questions and not hypotheses? (pp. 1349-1350)

4.  How were participants randomly assigned?  What instructions were they given for their interaction?  What were they asked to do after their interaction? (pp. 1350-1352)

5. What were the people who coded the interaction told to look for?  (pp. 1352-1354)

6. What did they find for each of the hypotheses?  (pp. 1359-1364)

7, What, if anything, surprises you about these findings?

8. What are the big takeaways from this article for you?

9.. Is this article post-positivist, interpretive, or critical?
