For Ramsey (1999)

Begin by reviewing the facts of the Simpson case on pages 31-34. 

1. As you read the rest of the article, what communication theories that she doesn't discuss but which you've learned about in other classes came to mind as relevant to analysis of to the Simpson case?  We'll save this question to discuss after the others, but have it in mind as you read the rest of the article.

2. In the section entitled "II. The Courtroom Communication Plan" on pp. 34-36, what unique aspects of courtroom communication does Ramsey identify?  Is the advice given in the last paragraph of that section consistent with what you've learned in other classes?

3. In what ways is the analysis and theory in the section entitled "III. Persuasive Messages Theory" consistent with what you've learned in other classes?  In what ways isn't it?

4. In what ways is the analysis and theory in the section entitled "IV. Social Judgment Theory" consistent with what you've learned in other classes?  In what ways isn't it?

5. In what ways is the analysis and theory in the section entitled "V. Cultural Communication Theory" consistent with what you've learned in other classes?  In what ways isn't it?

6.  OK, now let's go back and discuss Question 1.
