1. What is conflict management coaching?  (p. 360).

2. What does he author of this section identify as the common trends in conflict management coaching?  (pp. 360-363).  How could this be good news for you as a communication student?

3. What’s mediation?  (p. 365)?

4. What does the article mean by “mediation of interpersonal or team issues?” (p. 365).  Why does the author of this section predict “a silent revolution” of such mediation?  (p. 366).  Why might this be good news for you as a communication student?

5. In contrast, “mediation of litigated matters: (p. 366) refers to what?  What are the author’s critiques of this?

6.  As a student of communication, what do you see as the significance of there not being “an expectation of a continuing relationship” (p. 366) between the organization and the other party?

7.  What’s workplace arbitration?  The subset called labor arbitration?  The subset called mandatory arbitration? (p. 367).
