Write a “position paper” (see Norton Field Guide, pg. 83) with the following Headline: 

A Paradigm Shift   

Subhead:  Write your OWN to “customize” the topic to your area of interest. 

DUE: Thursday, 2/10/11   1000 words (3-5 pages) including your “Works Referenced/ Cited” page.  You must use at least FOUR “good” (scholarly) sources. 
Format:  hard copy (print it), MLA format- NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.   

Some thoughts that may help:  Try to work your “thesis statement” (p. 263) into your Subhead.  How does your position on your specific topic illustrate a Paradigm Shift?  What exactly IS your position?  Why do you see a Paradigm shift from this position and why should a critical reader see the same?
