The Toledo Metro Parks

Include the Toledo Metroparks in your next get-away weekend. Open year-round, there's always something going on at the Toledo Metroparks.

If you would like to arrange to receive the Metroparks magazine The Cardinal and the Park District's Coming Events Mailers, contact the Park District at 419-535-3050. and ask to add your name to the mailing list. Metroparks publications are FREE.

Undoubtedly, one of the most outstanding environmental education programs in Toledo is administered and coordinated by the Toledo Metro Parks Board. The Metroparks include nine natural area parks totalling over 6,700 acres. The Metroparks are supported by a small property tax levy and are free and open to the public, daily 7a.m. until dark. Outstanding educational programs for ages preschool to adult are offered year-round.

You may visit any of my favorite parks (listed below), or better yet, see them all! PS. Don't miss Groundhog Day!

Farnsworth Metropark and Bend View/Canal Lands ~ Oak Openings Preserve

Providence Metropark and the Isaac Ludwig Mill ~ Side Cut Metropark and Fallen Timbers

Wildwood Preserve ~ Ground Hog Day Program
